On the Dynamics of Global Temperature

چکیده

4 In this alternative theory of global temperature dynamics over the 5 annual to the glacial time scales, the accumulation of variations in so6 lar irradiance dominates the dynamics of global temperature change. A 7 straightforward recurrence matrix representation of the atmosphere/surface/deep 8 ocean system, models temperature changes by (1) the size of a forc9 ing, (2) its duration (due to accumulation of heat), and (3) the depth 10 of forcing in the atmosphere/surface/deep ocean system (due to in11 creasing mixing losses and increasing intrinsic gain with depth). The 12 model can explain most of the rise in temperature since 1950, and more 13 than 70% of the variance with correct phase shift of the 11-year solar 14 cycle. Global temperature displays the characteristics of an accumula15 tive system over 6 temporal orders of magnitude, as shown by a linear 16 f−1 log-log relationship of frequency to the temperature range, and 17 other statistical relationships such as near random-walk and distribu18 tion asymmetry. Over the last century, annual global surface tempera19 ∗[email protected] 1 ture rises or falls 0.063±0.028C/W/m per year when solar irradiance 20 is greater or less than an equilibrium value of 1366W/m at top-of21 atmosphere. Due to an extremely slow characteristic time scale the 22 notion of ’equilibrium climate sensitivity’ is largely superfluous. The 23 theory does not require a range of distinctive feedback and lag param24 eters. Mixing losses attenuate the effectiveness of greenhouse gasses. 25 Most recent warming can be explained without recourse to increases 26 in heat-trapping gases produced by human activities. 27

On the Dynamics of the Family axd(x − 1) + x

In this paper we consider the dynamics of the real polynomials of degree d + 1 with a fixed point of multiplicity d ≥ 2. Such polynomials are conjugate to fa,d(x) = axd(x−1)+x, a ∈ R{0}, d ∈ N. Our aim is to study the dynamics fa,d in some special cases.

Mechanical Characteristics and Failure Mechanism of Nano-Single Crystal Aluminum Based on Molecular Dynamics Simulations: Strain Rate and Temperature Effects

Besides experimental methods, numerical simulations bring benefits and great opportunities to characterize and predict mechanical behaviors of materials especially at nanoscale. In this study, a nano-single crystal aluminum (Al) as a typical face centered cubic (FCC) metal was modeled based on molecular dynamics (MD) method and by applying tensile and compressive strain loadings its mechanical ...

Dynamics of a Delayed Epidemic Model with Beddington-DeAngelis ‎Incidence Rate and a Constant Infectious Period

In this paper, an SIR epidemic model with an infectious period and a non-linear Beddington-DeAngelis type incidence rate function is considered. The dynamics of this model depend on the reproduction number R0. Accurately, if R0 < 1, we show the global asymptotic stability of the disease-free equilibrium by analyzing the corresponding characteristic equation and using compa...

Sensitivity analysis of dependency of working fluid thermo-dynamics properties to temperature on performance of Gama-type Stirling engine

This research proposes the effect of temperature variation in the Prandtl number on the power, the efficiency and the heat loss of the Gama-type Stirling engine. It should be noted that the Prandtl number included the viscosity, the thermal conductivity coefficient and the specific heat at constant pressures of the working fluid, which the temperature dependency of such first two thermo-dynamic...

Global Stabilization of Attitude Dynamics: SDRE-based Control Laws

The State-Dependant Riccati Equation method has been frequently used to design suboptimal controllers applied to nonlinear dynamic systems. Different methods for local stability analysis of SDRE controlled systems of order greater than two such as the attitude dynamics of a general rigid body have been extended in literature; however, it is still difficult to show global stability properties of...

Temperature Effect on Mechanical Properties of Top Neck Mollusk Shells Nano-Composite by Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Nano-Indentation Experiments

Discovering the mechanical properties of biological composite structures at the Nano-scale is much interesting today. Top Neck mollusk shells are amongst biomaterials Nano-Composite that their layered structures are composed of organic and inorganic materials. Since the Nano indentation process is known as an efficient method to determine mechanical properties like elastic modulus and hardness ...
